Cool new apps for preschoolers–how to define “quality”

I just attended a super inspiring talk at Erikson’s Technology in Early Childhood (TEC) Center. They hosted two designers from PeaPod Labs, a company that creates apps for young children, to give a short demonstration of their work, talk about their design process, and discuss ways we can collaborate to improve the experiences young children and families have with digital technology. We talked a lot about the concept of “passback” or how to get kids engaged w/ technology that reconnects them to us (their parents and caregivers), one another, and the world….I LOVED PeaPods innovation and testing model. Wish I had an ipad! Maybe soon…
